A leading organization in the fight against hunger is seeking a Class A Driver to operate commercial vehicles across diverse locations. The position requires reliability, effective communication, and the ability to safely load/unload freight. The purpose of the Class A Driver is to safely and efficiently operate commercial motor vehicle in urban, suburban, and rural areas to transport freight. This position is an over the road regional position with the possibility of delivering to a wide variety of locations in the U.S. The position may require loading and unloading food products to charitable feeding partners and programs. All responsibilities and duties will further Gleaners’ mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Reliability & Dependability is especially important for this position
Ability to read, write, and understand instructions
Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with all staff members, agencies, volunteers, and donors
Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
Ability to perform basic math functions, count accurately, and maintain accurate records
Ability to operate lift gate safely
Class A CDL with current and valid DOT medical certificate
Candidate must have a good driving record
2+ years tractor/trailer route delivery experience
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Experience with handheld route phone and/or electronic logging devices are desirable
Knowledge of DOT, state, and federal trucking regulations is required
Valid commercial driver's license/Clean driving record /Must be insurable by company vehicle insurance provider
PAY: $0.60 CPM
