Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking an OTD Driver to join our logistics team. You will operate 53' Reefer units on Southeast/Midwest lanes, manage 9-10 hour days with a 30-minute break, and work night dispatches from 10 PM to 3 AM.

Expect target earnings around $70,000 per year with mileage-based pay starting at $0.50 per mile, scaling to $0.53, plus a $1,000 sign-on after 30 days and annual bonuses for mileage and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months verifiable Over-the-Road (OTR) experience.
• No more than 2 minor violations in the last 3 years.
• Zero serious moving violations in the last 3 years (e.g., speeding 15+ mph over limit, reckless driving, or cell phone/distracted driving).

Responsibilities

• Operate 500–600 miles per day on Southeast/Midwest lanes.
• Night dispatches from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM terminal start times.
• Onboarding starts with 2–3 day runs, then 3–4 day runs with longer trips for experienced drivers.
• 100% no-touch freight with live load/unload where required.

Candidate Requirements

Position Overview & Compensation

• Target Earnings:~$70,000 / year
• Base Pay:$0.50/mile starting, scaling up to $0.53/mile (increases every 100k miles driven)
• Transitional Bonus:$1,000 after 30 days
• Additional Bonuses:Yearly mileage bonus + Safety bonus (paid twice a year)
• Equipment:Dedicated International Automatics with 53' Reefer units (Thermo King).No slip-seating; APUs included.

Route & Schedule Details

• Lanes:South East/ Midwest.
• Pacing:~500-600 miles/day (~9-10 hours driving daily with a mandatory 30-min break).
• Trip Length:Starts with shorter 2-3 day runs during onboarding, scaling to standard 3-4 day runs (with longer runs available for established drivers).
• Home Time:34-hour home resets (1-2 days off between runs). Operations works closely with drivers on schedule flexibility.
• Freight & Shift:100% No-Touch Freight (mostly live load/unload). Night dispatches (10:00 PM - 3:00 AM terminal start times).
