Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join our safety‑driven team in La Porte, TX. The route runs from La Porte, TX to southeast locations with an average of 2,500–3,000 miles per week and bi-weekly home time.

Responsibilities include operating tractor trailers, proper loading/unloading of waste, maintaining logs and reports, and complying with DOT requirements. Requires Class A CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and at least 12 months of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile apps and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Operates tractor trailer units.
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units.
• Loads and unloads hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste and secures loads.
• Places placards in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in La Porte, Tx. This route runs from La Porte, TX to southeast locations (Flex) position. and averages 2500-3000 miles per week.

Two weeks out. Can be domiciled in Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans areas.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Minium 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
