Job summary

American HomePatient seeks a dedicated tractor-trailer driver to operate long-haul routes between company facilities. You will transport freight safely, drop and interchange equipment as needed, and adhere to USDOT Hours of Service regulations.

Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, have a clean driving record, and demonstrate strong time management and self-supervision. This position requires independent work and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Must comply with FMCSA hours of service regulations
• Able to operate all tractor configurations and equipment types
• Must have clean driving record and be able to pass background checks

Responsibilities

• Operate designated tractor-trailer combinations for long distances between facilities to pickup, transport, and deliver freight
• Drop, hook, spot, or interchange equipment for loading/unloading at various locations
• Adhere to USDOT Hours of Service Regulations and follow company safety policies
• Maintain safe operating practices and report any equipment or safety issues
