Job summary

BWT Logistics is seeking an OTR Driver to safely transport goods across long distances in the United States. You will operate heavy commercial vehicles, plan routes, and coordinate with dispatch to maintain on-time deliveries while complying with all regulations.

The role requires a CDL Class A, 3+ years of verifiable OTR experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass DOT physicals and drug screening. Expect multi-day trips and strict adherence to hours of service.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with endorsements.
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in past three years.
• Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS).
• Excellent understanding of safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet delivery deadlines while adhering to HOS.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor trailer combinations to transport goods over long distances across various states.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency.
• Travel for several days or weeks at a time as needed for routes.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle inspections per DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers to provide status updates.
