Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking CDL-A drivers for experienced and new entrants to join our OTR dry van fleet. You will operate late-model trucks, handle pickups and deliveries, and enjoy guaranteed weekly pay with a straightforward benefits package.

New CDL holders are welcome; 4–6 weeks of training with a mentor, and immediate upgrade to full solo mileage once training ends. 2 weeks out, 2 days home, plus orientation pay and covered travel.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card, 21 years or older.
• New CDL-A holders welcome, or 6+ months of verifiable solo experience.
• 120+ hours completed at an accredited CDL training school.
• Clean MVR and background check.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• No DUI/DWI within the past 5 to 10 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on OTR dry van routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain logs and stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA hours of service.
• Communicate with dispatch on load status, delays, and route changes.
• Secure freight properly for drop and hook and live load/unload stops.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent the company professionally on the road.
