Job summary

Amcor is seeking a professional Class A CDL driver for our Woodstock, IL operation. You will transport goods, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure cargo is loaded and secured while complying with FMCSR and hours-of-service rules.

The role requires at least 1 year of verifiable experience with 53-ft trailers, weekend availability, and strong dispatch communication. Amcor offers competitive pay at $30.89 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience with 53-ft trailers.
• Meet the physical qualifications and exam requirements under DOT 391.41.
• Ability to operate safely in high-traffic, industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and freight from one location to another using a truck or tractor-trailer.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect loads to ensure cargo is properly loaded and secured.
• Notify dispatch if the load is not properly secured and use straps/load locks for securement.
• Review Bills of Lading (BOL) for accuracy.
• Plan the route, breaks, and deliveries to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
• Complete electronic DVIR via ELD for any deficiencies identified during pre/post-trip inspections.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs with the local lease provider.
