Job summary

DARCIE SOOTIN is seeking an Otologist to deliver specialized medical and surgical care for pediatric and adult patients with ear, hearing, and balance disorders. The role emphasizes collaborative, evidence-based patient care in a supportive environment.

The Otologist will diagnose and treat external, middle, and inner ear conditions, perform procedures, and educate patients and families, while participating in quality improvement and multidisciplinary coordination with audiology and other

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
• Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery completed.
• Additional focused training in otology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, manage, and treat ear-related conditions in pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform medical and surgical procedures for ear diseases as appropriate.
• Evaluate patients for hearing rehabilitation and implantable hearing technologies when indicated.
• Interpret diagnostic findings and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for otologic cases.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and CME.
• Collaborate with other SOENTS physicians and specialists for coordinated care.
