You will partner with business stakeholders, manufacturing and supply chain teams to deliver scalable planning solutions, mentor junior staff, and drive process improvements across production planning and scheduling. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Detailed Job Description

Seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP PP/DS Consultant to lead the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments. This role will partner with business stakeholders, manufacturing teams, supply chain organizations, and technical teams to deliver scalable planning and scheduling solutions that improve production efficiency, capacity utilization, forecast accuracy, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP PP/DS, strong SAP S/4HANA experience, and the ability to translate complex manufacturing and supply chain requirements into effective technology solutions. This individual will play a key role in driving process improvements, resolving complex production planning challenges, and mentoring team members.

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design and implement SAP PP/DS solutions aligned with manufacturing and supply chain objectives.
• Develop scalable production planning and detailed scheduling processes.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define future-state planning solutions.

Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement

• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with business users and planning teams.
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.

SAP PP/DS Configuration & Implementation

• Configure SAP PP/DS to support demand management, production planning, finite capacity planning, and detailed scheduling processes.
• Lead end-to-end implementation activities including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.

SAP S/4HANA Integration

• Integrate SAP PP/DS with SAP S/4HANA and related supply chain modules.
• Ensure seamless data flow across planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics processes.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing strategies.
• Validate planning scenarios and business requirements to ensure successful deployment.

Production Support & Optimization

• Analyze and resolve complex functional and technical issues.
• Support business users during post-go-live and ongoing operations.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Continuously optimize planning and scheduling processes to improve operational performance.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing

• Mentor junior consultants and team members.
• Promote SAP PP/DS best practices and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:

• 9-12 years of overall SAP experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP PP/DS solutions.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience delivering production planning and detailed scheduling solutions in manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of demand management, capacity planning, and production scheduling processes.
• Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP PP/DS or SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing certification preferred.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing organizations.
