Job summary

Storm4 is seeking an experienced OTC Power Trader to join our client’s hedge fund with billions in AUM. You will develop and manage proprietary positions across North American power markets, focusing on power, basis, congestion and related energy products.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify opportunities, manage risk, and scale strategies in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial trading environment. Strong market knowledge and a track record of profitability are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of profitability-focused OTC power trading experience
• Strong risk management experience
• Deep knowledge of North American ISO/RTO markets
• Proven ability to develop and execute trading strategies

Responsibilities

• Trade and manage proprietary positions across North American OTC power markets
• Develop and execute directional, spread, and basis trading strategies
• Analyze power market fundamentals including weather, load, generation, fuel, and transmission dynamics
• Identify new trading opportunities and expand existing strategies
• Manage portfolio risk and position exposures
• Collaborate closely with quantitative, development, and research teams to enhance trading performance
