Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an OTC Analyst in Michigan to manage collections, resolve customer financial inquiries, and process balance aging using Collections Workflow tools.

You’ll engage with customers by phone and email, address discrepancies, and support reporting and documentation. The role requires SAP proficiency, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient knowledge of SAP systems.
• Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Manage collections and aging; resolve customer financial inquiries.
• Work with Collections Workflow tools to clear due balances.
• Engage with customers via phone, email, and other channels.
• Address discrepancies (Quantity, Price, Warranty, Customer, Freight, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement; participate in projects.
• Support financial reporting and documentation; generate Past Due reports and forecasts.

Your Role:

As an OTC Analyst, your daily work will be related to:

• Collections Management
• Resolving customer financial inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Managing due and overdue balances through Collections Workflow tools
• Engaging with customers via phone, email, and other communication channels
• Addressing and resolving discrepancies (Quantity, Price, Warranty, Customer, Freight, etc.)

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient knowledge of SAP systems
• Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal); additional language proficiency is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills

Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement
• Contributing to project teams as needed
• Escalating and following up on issues through appropriate channels
• Ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met and service excellence is maintained
• Collaborating effectively with other departments
• Participating in scheduled conference calls

Financial Reporting & Documentation

• Preparing and distributing customer account statements
• Generating timely reports including Past Due reports and Forecasts
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive desktop procedures
