Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in Houston, TX for full-time and part-time opportunities. The OTA will assist the supervising therapist, document treatments, participate in care conferences, and contribute to rehabilitation planning within a patient-centered team.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited OTA program diploma and a current state license, with strong communication skills to engage patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license in practicing state.
• Good communication skills and ability to relate professionally to patients, family members, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Records treatments given in medical record.
• Participates in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
• Participates in facility in-service training programs.
• Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state occupational therapy rules.
