Job summary

Cortlandt Healthcare in Cortlandt Manor, NY is a 120-bed sub-acute facility hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team on site. You will interview with the people you will actually work with and be part of an interdisciplinary group.

We offer structured mentorship, hands-on orientation, and ongoing clinical education from clinicians who want to teach. The 35-facility network provides growth through specialty programs and leadership tracks while prioritizing

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license and registration in NY, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise OT Assistants per state practice act.
• Comfort with clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ medical status and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver OT interventions focused on ADL, safety, and return to function.
• Complete evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and safety.
• Collaborate with PT/SLP/nursing/dietitians/social work for patient-centered care.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OTAs and students per state practice act.
