OT Security / MQTT Architect

100% Remote

$100.00 to $125.00 hr All inclusive

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced OT Security Architect with expertise in MQTT environments & cybersecurity architecture. The person will be charged with conducting an OT Security Assessment.

He/She will be responsible for assessing current architecture & providing advisory services to current leadership. The ideal candidate has experience designing, implementing, and securing MQTT-based communications across Operational Technology environments while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, and NERC CIP. Consultants must have current-state OT security assessment, OT cybersecurity maturity evaluation, Multi-year security roadmap development, Industry 4.0 and IIoT security strategy, and some executive and board-level reporting.

Requirements:

• Must have 2+ yrs designing secure MQTT broker architectures for OT and Industrial IoT environments including:
  • Develop MQTT security standards, reference architectures, and deployment patterns.
  • Secure MQTT communications using TLS, PKI, certificate-based authentication, and encryption.
  • Establish topic-level access controls and least-privilege authorization models.
  • Design MQTT broker high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Must have prior experience integrating MQTT telemetry into:
  • SIEM platforms
  • SOAR platforms
  • OT Security Monitoring solutions
• Experience securing MQTT brokers such as:
