Job summary

Inherent Technologies is seeking an OT Security Analyst to oversee SOC operations for 1 year, onsite in Dallas. The role focuses on leading investigations, analyzing ICS/SCADA security events, and guiding Tier 1/2 analysts to improve OT threat detection.

Candidates should have 5–7 years in cybersecurity and hands-on OT/ICS experience, with relevant certifications. The position requires working in a 24/7 shift-based SOC and staying current with OT security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field required. Master’s preferred.
• 5-7 years in cybersecurity-focused role; SOC experience strongly preferred.
• 3+ years in OT/ICS environments, hands-on with SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs and industrial networks.
• Advanced OT security certifications (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SOC operations during assigned shifts with adherence to SLAs.
• Lead investigations and incident responses impacting OT systems and networks.
• Analyze security alerts/logs for ICS/SCADA to identify IOCs.
• Develop and tune detection rules and playbooks for OT environments.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Tier 1/2 analysts.
• Maintain thorough incident documentation and reporting.
