Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to organize and conduct therapy programs focused on rehabilitation and functional restoration. You will guide residents through tasks that restore and enhance daily living skills, adapting activities to individual needs and monitoring progress.

Applicants should have an accredited OT degree, state licensure or eligibility, and NBCOT certification eligibility or status.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Registered and/or eligible for certification by NBCOT.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops goals and implements treatment plans with documentation.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects activities suited to each resident's capacity and interests.
• Consults with rehabilitation team to tailor activity programs.
• Instructs residents in skills and evaluates progress and rehabilitative potential.
• Adapts programs to individual needs.
• Attends care conferences and related meetings.
• Conducts training for staff in OT techniques and objectives.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Cleans, maintains, and reports equipment repairs.
• Supervises supportive personnel per standards.
• Seeks to ensure high-quality service with compassionate care.
