Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position in Fall River, MA. The OT will organize and conduct therapy programs, directing resident participation to restore, reinforce, and enhance daily functioning and adaptation.

The role emphasizes rehabilitation through skilled interventions and teamwork with the rehabilitation staff. Responsibilities include evaluating residents, designing treatment plans, training on adaptive devices, and documenting progress

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the AOTA and certified by the AOTA under its requirements.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state.
• Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops treatment goals, implements OT plan and documents care.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects activities suited to individual capacity and interests.
• Consults with rehabilitation team to tailor activity programs.
• Instructs residents in skills and techniques and evaluates progress.
• Adapts program to needs of each resident.
• Attends and contributes to care conferences and related meetings.
• Conducts training programs for medical, nursing and other personnel in OT techniques.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports needed repairs.
• Supervises supportive personnel according to standards.
• Ensures residents and families receive high-quality care in a compassionate atmosphere.
