Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist to join our Charlottesville, VA team. The role is full-time with a 32-hour work week option, providing 1:1 patient care in the home setting under physician orders and independent practice with team support.

You will evaluate and treat adults, set measurable goals, and maintain documentation for billing, while collaborating with patients and families to promote independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current OT licensure in State and CPR certification.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy; home health experience preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem solving and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform OT evaluation and treatment per physician orders, including adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to maximize independence.
• Maintain communication among treatment team, physician, patient, and family members.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation for proper billing.
• Supervise OT Assistants in direct patient care per state practice act.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, You will:

• Perform occupational therapy evaluation and treatment of patients based upon physician orders, including recommendation and procurement of adaptive equipment
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function
• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to ensure proper billing
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire
• Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; physical therapy skills per competency checklist
