Job summary

Southern Company seeks an OT Systems and Compliance leader to oversee infrastructure services for OT systems across affiliates and guide design, implementation, and support of high-availability solutions for Power Delivery and Gas operations.

The role advances compliance readiness, develops staff capabilities, and partners with OT business stakeholders to ensure resilient, compliant IT infrastructure across locations including Atlanta and Birmingham.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Associates with years of experience considered.
• Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred; demonstrated leadership required.
• Strong knowledge of IT in complex environments: servers, server virtualization, storage, application integration, or cybersecurity.
• Solid understanding of NERC CIP, TSA-SD2C, and FERC Separation Protocol requirements and related Southern Company work guides and practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships with OT business partners to understand infrastructure needs, deliver services, and support compliance for TO-managed assets.
• Collaborate with TO leaders to align infrastructure processes, technologies, and resources with business needs.
• Engage with Operations Compliance and TO Risk & Compliance to support compliance programs and manage infrastructure obligations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and automate compliance processes, ensuring controls remain auditable.
• Drive continuous improvement through disciplined operations, innovative practices, and effective management of responsibilities.
• Provide strategic leadership and business insight to address opportunities and industry shifts.
• Attract, develop and retain a qualified, engaged team capable of meeting current and future needs.
