Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapist II for lymphedema care in a per diem Rehab Center setting in San Diego. The role focuses on evaluating and directing OT modalities, aiding patients to reach maximum functioning, and guiding families in therapy interventions.

You will participate in CQI activities and department initiatives while documenting care per guidelines. The position requires an OT license in California, BLS, and CCS paneling within six months for NICU work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved professional school of Occupational Therapy.
• 2 years of experience in all aspects of occupational therapy.
• California Occupational Therapist license – CA Board of Occupational Therapy – REQUIRED.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) – REQUIRED.
• CCS Paneling is required for Therapists working in CCS-designated NICU; must be CCS paneled within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in departmental goals and advancement of department initiatives.
• Collaborates with leadership on clinical and operational projects.
• Documents thoroughly in patient records following guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures patient care safety, provides teaching and coordinates discharge planning as appropriate.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and chart reviews; assists with staff education and program development.
