TruCare Living Center in Selma, TX is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapist to join its in-house rehab program. The OT will screen and treat patients with cognitive and ADL deficits, using evidence-based methods and standardized assessments, and will coordinate care with the health team.

New grads are welcome, and the role emphasizes CAPLICO values while delivering discharge planning and family counseling as part of comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• OT license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapists at all experience levels. New Grads welcome!

Responsibilities

• Screens/evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL disorders and develops plan of care.
• Uses standardized assessments to support clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled treatment to patients with cognitive/ADL disorders.
• Performs ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assesses progress and adjusts treatments in the medical record.
• Evaluates outcomes and refers as needed.
• Provides counseling to patients and families about physical disorders.
• Communicates progress and plans with supervisor and health team.
• Delivers comprehensive discharge summaries as required.
