Job summary

South University in Tampa, FL seeks an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for Occupational Therapy to manage fieldwork placements, site agreements, and educator collaboration across Tampa and Orlando campuses. This role supports a hybrid curriculum, ensuring clinical fieldwork aligns with accreditation standards and program goals.

The position emphasizes education through learning-centered instruction, coordination of Level I/II experiences, and ongoing professional development for fieldwork

Qualifications

• OTR candidates: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master’s or Doctoral degree in OT or related field.
• Two years of fieldwork coordination or related experience preferred.
• Zero to two years of instruction or formalized education experience, preferably in post-secondary settings.
• Experience with hybrid course instruction and delivery is preferred.
• Must be eligible for licensure and currently licensed or credentialed where program is located.

Responsibilities

• Identify clinical fieldwork sites and initiate affiliation agreements with stakeholders.
• Place students in Level I/II Fieldwork at Tampa and Orlando sites; coordinate rotations and liaise with sites and students.
• Advise and collaborate with fieldwork educators to align course content with practice settings.
• Ensure fieldwork experiences comply with accreditation standards and curriculum design.
• Promote professional development of Fieldwork Educators and oversee teaching assistants as needed.
• Maintain accurate records (attendance, grades) and participate in program meetings and events.
