Job summary

Jefferson’s Department of Occupational Therapy seeks a full-time 12-month faculty member to serve as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Doctoral Program, with rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor depending on experience. The position is based on Jefferson’s Center City campus and starts Nov 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be an occupational therapist.
• Must have a doctoral degree.
• Experience as academic fieldwork coordinator or fieldwork educator is required.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; teaching and collaboration experience.
• Open to novel approaches to experiential learning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple ongoing projects and communicate with community partners, program director and faculty.
• Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure program compliance and ACOTE standards.
• Collect and interpret data for fieldwork curriculum development.
• Guide students in developing skills for site-specific learning objectives.
• Schedule and confirm student placements and ensure onboarding requirements.
• Advise students and fieldwork educators related to experiential learning and scholarship.
