Job summary

Southern Company recognizes that maintaining a reliable generating fleet requires a robust cyber security program to protect our infrastructure, data, and operations. We seek an Operational Cyber Security Engineer/Analyst to join our team and advance the Generation Cyber Security Program.

You will work on cyber assessments, NERC CIP compliance, and developing technical documentation for OT/ICS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred.
• Security certifications preferred.
• Experience with Industrial Control System/SCADA security preferred.
• Experience with NERC CIP and NIST SP 800-82 also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cyber assessments for compliance to Company Policies and Requirements.
• Document cyber assessment findings in formal reports.
• Provide technical analysis via Cyber Security Reviews for OT/ICS projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as reports and network diagrams.
• Participate on project teams to implement NERC CIP requirements.
• Support information reporting for cyber standards compliance.
