Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an OT Automation Engineer to lead multi-plant automation initiatives across our automotive production facilities. You will ensure high-performance, secure OT systems including Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, and robotic platforms are deployed and optimized for high-volume manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on automation expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of improving uptime, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of industrial automation experience in multi-plant automotive manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, and robotics systems.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead design, deployment, and optimization of multi-plant automation systems across sites.
Develop and standardize automation practices for reliability and compliance (IATF 16949, ISO 10218).
Oversee MES, SCADA, IIoT integrations for real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Implement Industry 4.0 initiatives including AI/ML for maintenance and anomaly detection.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, OT, and IT to optimize throughput and KPI performance.
Mentor Controls & Robotics Engineers and ensure OT cybersecurity.
