Job summary

A leading rehabilitative care provider in Okemos, Michigan, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. The role involves treating patients, communicating care plans, and participating in interdisciplinary meetings. Candidates must be licensed in Michigan and possess strong interpersonal skills. Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) where services are being provided as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients according to the treatment plan developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Communicate patient progress and plans with the Occupational Therapist, family and facility staff.
• Participate in Plan of Care Meetings and Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
• Record treatment notes, progress notes and daily billing of services.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on maintenance programs.
