Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work under supervision and deliver therapy services to facilitate rehabilitation and maximize patient independence. The OTA will follow the physician-ordered plan of care and hospital protocols.

The position requires NC licensure or eligibility, CPR certification upon hire, and completion of orientation addressing pediatric to geriatric needs. Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in NC as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) or state licensure examination eligible.
• CPR certification required. If not currently certified must complete upon hire.
• Successful completion of a competency based orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the OTA will be working, and addresses the growth and development needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under supervision to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Administer therapy programs to maximize function and independence per plan of care.
• Maintain full access to patient health information per hospital policies.
