Job summary

Good Samaritan Health Care Center, a skilled nursing and long-term care provider, is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver direct patient care under an Occupational Therapist's supervision.

You will follow state laws, perform only procedures you are qualified for, and contribute recommendations to the plan of care. We offer in-house training and a robust benefits package with paid time off.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the assigned state.
• Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly and courteous.
• Moderate degree of physical strength is needed to assist patients.
• Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, follows state laws governing occupational therapy in home care.
• Performs only procedures the COTA is qualified and trained to perform as defined by the Occupational Therapist.
• Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
