Maryland seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant at Springfield Hospital Center, Rehabilitation Services Department, Sykesville, MD. The role delivers direct group or individual therapy to patients with severe mental illness under the supervision of an OT.

The successful candidate collaborates with the treatment team, contributes to patient function re-evaluations, and mentors OT fieldwork students. This is an on-site clinical position in a recovery-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Maryland State Board license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Licensed OTA.
• Candidates may substitute military therapy officer experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct therapy services (group or individual) to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Participate as part of the treatment team and advise on re-evaluations of patient functioning.
• Provide professional guidance for OT fieldwork students (interns).
