Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support outpatient hand rehabilitation under supervision. You will assist with patient evaluations, implement treatment plans, and help with discharge planning and family education.

Applicants should hold an OT Assist degree, a Wisconsin OTA license, BLS certification (or obtain within 6 months), and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 6 months unless exempt by department leadership.
• OTA license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients’ physical, perceptual, cognitive, and daily living needs.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and retraining techniques.
• Plan for discharge with home programs and family education.
• Complete documentation with signatures, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Maintain clean, safe treatment areas and assist with equipment as needed.
• Demonstrate modalities and exercise techniques per policy.
• Participate in quality-improvement activities and department coverage.
