Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision, perform prescribed treatments, and maintain comprehensive patient records across multiple facilities in Louisiana. The role requires licensure eligibility, BLS certification, and the ability to travel between sites.

Ideal candidates will have an OTA associate degree, strong communication and organizational skills, and comfort with computer-based documentation to support clinical teams

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Eligibility for state occupational therapy assistant licensure by examination and current state license prior to start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to present information clearly and professionally.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Provide direct patient care after evaluation by a licensed OT.
• Communicate and document changes in patient's status and inform therapist of reassessment.
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in staff and committee projects.
• Achieve established productivity levels set forth by administration.
• Educate and train others within the discipline.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
