Job summary

Sholom Community Alliance, LLC. in Saint Louis Park, MN, is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR); assisting clients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks, basic motor functions and cognitive ability.

Wage: $27.00-$31.50/hour; Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday and one Sunday every 8 weeks. Education, licensure, CPR/First Aid, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• One or more years experience as an OTA working with a geriatric population is preferred.
• Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a COTA and maintain licensure.
• CPR/First Aid certification through American Red Cross is required; valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides therapy procedures under the direction of the OTR to improve daily living and motor/cognitive abilities.

Education, Experience and Credentials

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• One or more years experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant working with a geriatric population preferred.
• Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and must maintain licensure.
• CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required. Hospice and Medicare Home Care: Possesses a valid driver’s license with good driving record, and proof of valid insurance. Must have reliable transportation.
