Job Description

Cook 1 PM pays $20/hour

The position requires the ability to perform all supervisor duties and to be in charge of the department in the absence of the Kitchen Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  1. Master all the stations in the kitchen, including AM and PM. Prepare closing paperwork and perform duties in the absence of the Kitchen Supervisor.
  2. Supervise all culinary stations.
  3. Control quality and consistency of all food served.
  4. Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
  5. Ensure all necessary food supplies are in appropriate supply on a timely basis.
  6. Assist in controlling food costs.
  7. Help train new employees.
  8. Learn all menu items produced by your assigned station.

Qualifications

  1. Display basic knife skills.
  2. Ability to create specials and execute them with the chef on duty.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of hotel and/or resort experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.
  4. Ability to multi-task.
  5. Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day.
  6. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Must have an unexpired Food Handlers’ certification.
