Job summary

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) seeks Osteopathic Principles and Practice Clinical Faculty for on-site teaching. You will train students as a table trainer and deliver lectures to first- and second-year DO students in the OPP curriculum, shaping clinical skills and professional development.

The role includes teaching in the OPP and Clinical Examination courses, participating in Problem-Based Learning, simulation supervision, and advising students while contributing to scholarly

Qualifications

  • DO degree required; teaching experience in academia with 2–5 years preferred.
  • Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an instructor and table trainer in the OPP course.
  • Instruct in the Clinical Examination course.
  • Serve as a Problem Based Learning Facilitator as needed.
  • Assist in Simulation Lab supervision as needed.
  • Prepare detailed course syllabi, assignments, readings, labs and exams.
  • Interview prospective candidates for the College of Medicine.
  • Advise students and participate in committees and clubs.
  • Conduct scholarly activity or research projects annually.
  • Develop educational tools and coordinate demonstrations with faculty.
  • Create evaluation tools to assess student performance.
  • Attend team meetings and report to the Associate Dean of Preclinical Education.
  • Contribute to student success and institutional mission; engage in community outreach.
