CableCom, LLC in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced OSP telecom construction manager to lead field crews and coordinate with municipalities, customers, and internal teams.

You will read construction documents, manage schedules, ensure safety compliance, and oversee vendor relationships to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role demands strong communication and HDD drilling experience when applicable, with a focus on quality and safety.

Formación

• Experience in telecom/construction space.
• Supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license (class C minimum).
• Experience in HDD drilling or similar telecom plant construction.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret construction documents, prints, permits and plans; study splicing diagrams for fiber optic cables.
• Review designs with crews, municipalities, and customers.
• Review preliminary construction prints from right-of-way authorities and identify conflicts.
• Attend utility coordination and construction progress meetings as needed.
• Develop project documentation identifying goals, tasks, and assignments.
• Arrange internal employees or vendors to perform work and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Ensure vendors have called in locates prior to starting work on site.
• Create and provide a construction schedule to the property and customer.
• Communicate project scope with Warehouse Manager and arrange material pickup/drop-off.
• Verify materials prior to sub pickup and arrange storage at site.
• Monitor contractor progress and quality; ensure timely turnover of projects.
• Ensure safety regulations compliance including OSHA requirements.
• Ensure project aligns with objectives and review close-out packets daily.
• Oversee project costs and review pre-invoicing prior to finalizing.
• Redline port changes and communicate to team.
• Coordinate with regional admin and supervisors to meet work standards.
• Review photos for quality checks and address concerns.
• Communicate any chargebacks to subcontractors.
• Interact with customer representatives and resolve conflicts.
• Sign off on all work and share information with leadership and customer.
• Oversee maintenance of field vehicles and equipment.
• Oversee Drive Cam program for team members.
• Hire, train, and coach team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000

What You’ll Do

• Read and interpret construction documents. These documents will include prints, permits and plans as well as splicing diagrams that are used in the splicing of fiber optic cables.
• The Construction Manager will review designs with the crews, municipalities, and customers
• Review preliminary construction prints from right-of-way authorities and determine potential conflicts
• Attend utility coordination meetings and construction progress meetings as needed
• Develop required project documentation identifying project goals and tasks and generating assignments.
• Arranges internal employees or vendors to perform work and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Ensures that vendors have called in locates prior to starting work on site.
• The Construction Manager will create and provide a construction schedule to the property and customer
• Communicates scope of project with Warehouse Manager and arranges for material pick up and/or drop off.
• Verifies materials prior to sub picking up and arranges materials storage at work site.
• Works with OSP supervisors to monitor contractor progress and quality inspection, and timely turnover of assigned projects
• Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring the project is consistent to meet objectives.
• Reviews close out packet folder daily and address issues with supervisors.
• Will oversee project cost and reviewing pre-invoicing prior to finalizing.
• Responsible to Redline any port changes and communicate to team
• Works with Regional Administrative teams and Supervisors to ensure quality of work standards are met.
• Reviews Photos as part of Quality Check and addresses any concerns.
• Responsible for communicating any charge backs to subcontractors.
• Interact with customer representatives regarding work completion, and resolve conflicts
• Responsible for signing off on all work completed and sharing information to Prince leadership and the customer.
• Oversee the maintenance of field vehicles and equipment.
• Oversees Drive Cam Program for all employees on the Team.
• Hire, Train and Coach team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Experience in the telecom/construction space.
• Supervisory/Managerial experience preferred.

• Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
• Experience in HDD drilling or other similar telecom plant construction space.

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for OSP Telecom Manager is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00
