Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking an OSP Project Manager in Lisle, IL, who will work with the Energy & Utility Group. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and supporting the design and posting of telecommunications projects. Candidates must have at least 4 years of OSP design experience and excellent communication skills. Benefits include 401(k) matching, medical insurance, and a hybrid work program. The salary range is $85,000 - $120,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with Legal Mandate, IFP, and Fiber Overbuild projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking an OSP Project Manager in one of the posting locations below. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting, and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.

Posting Locations for this role

Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; Charlotte, NC; or St. Louis, MO

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and projects
• Support development of proposals – including project scope, schedule and budget
• Complete design and posting of telecommunications projects
• Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
• Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
• Oversee work completed by technical and professional production staff
• Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, Microstation, Bluebeam, etc.
• Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of OSP design experience
• Experience in all aspects of Legal Mandate, IFP, Fiber Overbuild, FTTH, or LightGIG projects – including field data gathering, design and permitting
• Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently whether in the office or field/remotely

Nice to Have

• Supervisory experience in OSP engineering design or construction
• Experience in surveying or utility locating
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree a plus
• Degree in Engineering or related field a plus

Salary Range

$85,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
