Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking an OSP Project Manager in Frisco, TX, as part of our Energy & Utility Group within the Telecommunications Team. The role covers planning, drafting, design, permitting, and construction administration of telecom and utility projects.

Posting locations include Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; Charlotte, NC; and St. Louis, MO. We value collaboration, leadership, and delivering high quality results across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of OSP design experience.
  • Experience with Legal Mandate, IFP, Fiber Overbuild, FTTH, or LightGIG projects.
  • Strong communication skills and positive work ethic.
  • Ability to manage time across multiple projects (office/field).

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and projects.
  • Support development of proposals – including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Complete design and posting of telecommunications projects.
  • Review projects for accuracy and adherence to client specs.
  • Plan and oversee work production to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Oversee work by production staff.
  • Provide direction for permit plans and prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Assist with site visits and may include overnight travel.

Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking an OSP Project Manager in one of the posting locations below. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.

What You\'ll Do
  • Manage client relationships and projects
  • Support development of proposals – including project scope, schedule and budget
  • Complete design and posting of telecommunications projects
  • Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
  • Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
  • Oversee work completed by technical and professional production staff
  • Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, Microstation, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel
What You\'ll Need
  • Minimum of 4 years of OSP design experience
  • Experience in all aspects of Legal Mandate, IFP, Fiber Overbuild, FTTH, or LightGIG projects – including field data gathering, design and permitting
  • Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently whether in the office or field/remotely
Nice To Haves
  • Supervisory experience in OSP engineering design or construction
  • Experience in surveying or utility locating
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree a plus
  • Degree in Engineering or related field a plus
