Overview

Our client is a worldwide telecommunications company that offers voice, data and video services and solutions on its award-winning networks and platforms, delivering on customers’ demand for mobility, reliable network connectivity, security, and control.

We are looking for a OSP Project Manager to develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with input from assigned OSP engineers.

Location: Reston, VA / Halethorpe, MD - HYBRID

Position: OSP Project Manager

Pay: $51.54/hr on W2

Duration: 30 months or longer

Hybrid opportunity: 2 days in the office / 3 remote (flexible on which days)

Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with input from assigned OSP engineers
• Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed
• Build strong communication channels with internal stakeholders in various departments: Sales, OSP Engineering (In-Franchise and Out of Franchise), Network Program Management, Operations, etc.
• Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports
• Responsible for tracking project changes and producing updated schedules
• Track budget
• Gather and report performance measurement of ongoing progress
• Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams
• Interface with internal/external stakeholders on a regular basis

Must Have Skills

• Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering and/or construction or experience in the field
• Background in project management in a field related to civil, environmental, or utility construction
• Ability to clearly articulate expectations and drive success

Desired Skills

• Organization and the ability to multi-task
• Experience with MS Office suite of apps
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio

Education/Certifications

• Coursework in programs associated with project management, Outside Plant Engineering, and a PMPO certification is a plus
