Job summary

Lyte Fiber, LLC seeks a Permitting Specialist in Marshall, TX to oversee the preparation and acquisition of permits for fiber network construction and maintenance projects. You will ensure on-time permitting submissions and approvals for underground and aerial placement, coordinating with engineering and field teams.

Responsibilities include researching agencies, preparing permit packages, managing long-lead permits, and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 5 years' experience as a permit specialist.
• 5 years in telecommunications permitting or engineering preferred.
• Must travel; valid driver's license.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; AutoCAD or similar is recommended.
• Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS, 3GIS, Vetro Fiber, IQGeo) is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the permit application process for all OSP projects.
• Research and liaise with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Prepare and track permit packages and address issues.
• Perform Make-Ready analysis for aerial routes; review Pole Attachment apps.
• Maintain records of permits and approvals.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to meet permit needs.
• Provide weekly status updates on permitting milestones.
