Job description

As an OSP laborer, you will perform tasks to support the utility construction crew.

Responsibilities:

• Unload materials upon delivery and distribute them to designated locations as directed by a supervisor, project plans, or specifications.
• Prepare the layout area for construction by accurately measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
• Clean and prepare specific areas of the job site as assigned, including digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, cleaning debris, and removing hazardous materials.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Manage traffic near, in, or around work zones to ensure safety.
• Assist equipment operators with the alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Clean the job site at the end of each day, ensuring proper disposal of trash and safe storage of materials and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
