Job summary

Mountain Ltd. has an opening for an OSP Inspector in the Great Falls/ Helena, MT area. The Inspector will ensure that underground, buried, and aerial facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrections performed by contractors.

Responsibilities include documenting inspections, audits, and transfers electronically, communicating via email and phone, and occasionally performing manual inspections using printed spreadsheets. Familiarity with mapping and GPS technology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience: Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspect underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Document inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically and via email/cell.
• Manually perform inspections, audits, and transfers using printed spreadsheets when required.
• Utilize mapping and GPS technology to support inspections and documentation.
