Job summary

CEI is seeking a Construction Specialist III in Albuquerque, NM for a long-term contract with hybrid work. The role conducts field construction quality audits (≈80%) and remote PC work (≈20%), inspecting nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps and enclosures.

You’ll use your personal vehicle with mileage reimbursed at the federal rate. Pay is $40/hour on a W2 basis, with optional Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits.

Qualifications

• Coax cabling experience required.
• Fiber cabling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Executes overhead/underground construction duties such as placing hard-line connectivity and platforms, framing and stranding poles, transferring facilities between poles, and placing connectivity in joint trench.
• Maintains accurate records of project start dates, milestones, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
• Instructs on-site safety standards; conducts site visits to ensure safety compliance and participates in regular safety meetings.

Job Title: Construction Specialist III

JobataGlance:

• This role will be completing construction quality audits in the field 80% of the time with the additional 20% being remote PC work.
• Wide range of inspections on nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps, enclosures etc. but not limited to.
• Some jobs could be 3-4 hours away - in these cases a hotel stay will be booked by the client.
• You will use your personal vehicle.
• Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate.

Pay Rate:

$40/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)

Duration of Contract:

Long term contract with extension/conversion possibility

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platforms, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and Connectivity & Platforms trailers.
• Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
• Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.

Required Skills:

• Both Coax and Fiber cabling experience are required
• Project coordination skills (documentation, reporting, etc.)
