Job summary

United Communications in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring an OSP Facilities Technician to identify and mark underground utilities, ensuring safe excavation. You will work in the field with locating equipment, interpret maps, and coordinate with crews and property owners to prevent service interruptions.

The role requires daily travel across the Middle Tennessee footprint. A company vehicle is provided, and on-call shifts including nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret fiber records, staking sheets, diagrams and drawings.
• Proficient with PC applications, email and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mark underground utilities using locating equipment.
• Read maps and prints to locate sites in rural or urban areas.
• Plan efficient routes and communicate locate activities to crews and homeowners.
• Operate ladders and basic tools; work outdoors in varied conditions.
• Participate in on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
