Job summary

Stake Center Locating in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. Training is provided, with 100% paid on-the-job training to start.

You'll work outdoors in all weather, using maps and on-site equipment, with a focus on safety and quick, accurate problem solving to support safe digging and community protection. We offer growth and real hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods; lifting up to 25 lbs or up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method and sequence for locating.
• Use provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
