Job summary

TEKsystems in Bridgeport, AL seeks an OSP technician to oversee outside plant fiber installations and maintenance. This role is fully onsite, requiring coordination with customers, carriers, and contractors to ensure safe, high-quality fiber infrastructure.

Responsibilities include splicing, testing, and documenting routes, maintaining as-built records, and supporting MACs in live environments. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and work nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• OSP outside plant installation and maintenance experience.
• Familiar with safety policies including PPE, ladder use, and confined-space awareness.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or elevated trays.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, or after-hours maintenance windows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and maintenance of OSP fiber systems.
• Coordinate splicing, testing, and documentation for OSP routes.
• Interface with customers, carriers, and construction partners during OSP activities.
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation and test results.
• Support Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) in live production environments.
