Job summary

Garmac Limited LLC in Memphis is seeking an established OSP fiber construction crew (3–5 members) to perform mixed aerial and underground installation as a 1099 contractor. Your crew must provide its own equipment and operate together.

You will handle aerial strand installation, fiber lashing, directional boring, conduit placement, handhole work, fiber pulling, slack loops, traffic control, and daily production reporting, reading prints, and ensuring safety and ROW compliance.

Qualifications

• Established OSP crew (3–5 members).
• 2+ years aerial and underground fiber construction experience.
• Ability to read OSP prints and production sheets.
• Valid general liability insurance.
• Reliable equipment and transportation.
• Strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Aerial strand installation.
• Fiber lashing (multiple fiber counts).
• Overlash (as needed).
• Directional boring (1–2 conduits typical).
• Conduit placement.
• Handhole and flowerpot installation.
• Fiber pulling in new/existing conduit.
• Slack loop and terminal installation.
• Traffic control and ROW compliance.
• Daily production reporting.

We are expanding our OSP (Outside Plant) fiber construction operations in the Memphis area and are onboarding a full Aerial + Underground Fiber Construction Crew. This is not residential install work — this is full OSP infrastructure construction.

What We’re Looking For

We are hiring one established OSP construction crew (3–5 members) capable of completing mixed aerial and underground fiber construction. Your crew must already operate together and provide your own equipment.

Required Crew Capabilities

• Aerial strand installation
• Fiber lashing (multiple fiber counts)
• Overlash (as needed)
• Directional boring (1–2 conduits typical)
• Conduit placement
• Handhole and flowerpot installation
• Fiber pulling in new/existing conduit
• Slack loop and terminal installation
• Traffic control and ROW compliance
• Daily production reporting

Required Equipment (Crew‑Provided)

• Bucket truck or ladder truck
• Cable lasher + strand tools
• Directional bore rig + locator
• Vac trailer
• Traffic control equipment (cones, signs, barricades)
• PPE (hard hats, vests, boots, glasses)
