Richesin Engineering, LLC seeks an Outside Plant Manager to lead crews of tower climbers, fiber splicers, and OSP technicians on projects across Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. This field-first leadership role focuses on coordinating logistics, maintaining safety, and delivering on schedule while staying hands-on to spot issues early.

You will mentor technicians, enforce OSHA compliance, and interface with project managers, engineers, and clients to communicate progress and resolve challenges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside plant construction, fiber, or tower work.
• Demonstrated crew leadership or supervisory experience in a field environment.
• Working knowledge of fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and fiber construction practices.
• Tower climbing certification (ComTrain, NWSA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to read OSP construction drawings and splice schematics.
• Strong safety mindset — OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

The Role

Richesin Engineering builds and maintains outside plant infrastructure in places most contractors won't go — remote Oregon, Alaska bush communities, Pacific island terrain. We're looking for an Outside Plant Manager who can lead a mixed crew of tower climbers, fiber splicers, and construction technicians and actually get the work done right. This is a field-first leadership role. You'll be managing crew performance, coordinating job-site logistics, maintaining safety compliance, and keeping projects on schedule — while staying hands‑on enough to know when something's wrong before it becomes a problem. If "OSP" is just an acronym to you, this isn't the right fit. If you've run cable, climbed towers, and seen a fusion splicer more times than you can count, keep reading. Travel is a significant part of this role. Projects span Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. We handle logistics and per diem — you bring the leadership and the technical depth to back it up.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in outside plant construction, fiber, or tower work
• Demonstrated crew leadership or supervisory experience in a field environment
• Working knowledge of fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and fiber construction practices
• Tower climbing certification (ComTrain, NWSA, or equivalent) preferred
• Ability to read OSP construction drawings and splice schematics
• Strong safety mindset — OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL a plus
• Comfortable with extended travel and remote project environments
• Clear communicator who can manage up to project managers and down to junior crew
