Base Pay Range

$35.00/hr - $44.00/hr

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in telecommunications project installation and/or design
  • Strong knowledge of low‑voltage systems, wiring techniques, and layout design principles
  • Experience with campus‑wide infrastructure design, including fiber connectivity and OSP layouts
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD for drafting schematics and layouts (preferred)
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and BICSI best practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and technical problem‑solving skills
  • BICSI RCDD or OSP certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Project Engineer to lead modernization initiatives for campus‑wide fiber connectivity. In this role, you will:

  • Analyze legacy GIS and CAD data to determine cost‑effective strategies for cabling modernization
  • Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and provide improvement recommendations
  • Design and draft layouts, schematics, and plans for outside plant (OSP) cabling systems using tools such as BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, and GIS
  • Engineer end‑to‑end modernization of OSP fiber installations, including both buried and aerial applications
  • Perform quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource requirements for installation projects
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on system installation, operation, and maintenance
