Job summary

Pearce is seeking an OSP Engineer to design and maintain copper and fiber outside plant networks, coordinating permitting, and ensuring construct readiness for expansion and maintenance projects.

You'll partner with municipal agencies, utilities, and contractors, applying engineering standards, GIS knowledge, and project management to deliver reliable broadband infrastructure while meeting regulatory requirements and company goals.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in copper and fiber telecommunications engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in OSP engineering, network engineering, or a related telecommunications field.
• Strong understanding of OSP telecom construction practices and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer copper and fiber outside plant (OSP) projects, including aerial, buried, underground, MDU, subdivision, road move, dark fiber, and service order work.
• Prepare, review, and submit pole attachment applications and coordinate with utility companies to secure approvals.
• Utilize telephony and OSP engineering principles to support network planning, capacity management, and infrastructure development.
• Project manage engineering activities and coordinate with municipal engineers to evaluate project impacts and requirements.
• Collaborate with utility providers and communication companies to develop relocation plans that minimize service disruptions and project delays.
