Job summary

Signal and Strand is seeking an on-site OSHPD/HCAI Construction Superintendent in San Jose, CA to lead field operations for healthcare facility projects. This hands-on role involves supervising trades, coordinating with inspectors and vendors, and may require up to 50% travel, plus occasional night and weekend work to meet schedules.

You will enforce OSHPD/HCAI compliance, maintain and publish three-week look-aheads with MS Project, manage safety programs, document daily reports, and drive

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Commercial Superintendent with OSHPD 3 experience.
• 3+ verifiable client references.
• Ability to create a three-week look-ahead using MS Project.
• Proficiency with AutoDesk, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors per drawings and scope.
• Communicate schedules across trades to maintain workflow.
• Publish weekly three-week look-aheads to subs and PM.
• Ensure on-site work complies with drawings and OSHPD/HCAI.
• Build trust with inspectors; verify work before inspections.
• Maintain on-site safety program with weekly meetings.
• Maintain daily reports, RFIs, safety minutes, and MS Project schedules.
• Oversee project completion and punch list closure.
• Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
